Why take a winter-specific course?

Winter glaciers behave differently than summer ones:

  • Crevasses are hidden by snow bridges

  • Anchors rely almost fully on snow—not ice

  • Partner arrest on skis is significantly different

  • Cold temps affect dexterity, rope stiffness, and mechanical devices

A winter course ensures your skills match real touring conditions.
