Cat-Assisted Touring in the Selkirks

A new KBG lodge-based trip, hosted by White Grizzly

Think of it as the best of both worlds, the efficiency of mechanized access with the heart of traditional ski touring. With the support of White Grizzly’s snowcat and legendary tenure, we’ll move deep into the Selkirks mountains. Each night, you’ll return to the comfort of Wild Bear Lodge, White Grizzly’s secondary lodge and a world-class base for mountain adventure.

Snowcat transport into White Grizzly’s remote tenure

Itinerary Snapshot

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome

Arrive at Wild Bear Lodge. Enjoy a welcome dinner, safety briefing, and gear prep with your guides.

Day 2 – Snowcat Access & Touring

Morning snowcat transport into White Grizzly’s tenure. Touring objectives set based on snow, weather, and group goals. Return to the lodge for après and dinner.

Day 3 – Flexible Touring

A full day of ski touring, with the option of snowcat bump support or — if weather limits alpine access — a shift to full cat skiing.

Day 4 – Final Touring & Departure

One last day of guided touring. Depart the lodge by 5:00 PM. An optional extra night is available.

Pricing

Base Package – $2,997 CAD/person

Includes:

  • 3 days of guided ski touring
  • 3 nights at Wild Bear Lodge
  • Snowcat transport for access
  • All meals at the lodge

Optional Add-Ons:

  • 4th Day Whitewater Ski Touring with KBG: +$850 (up to 5 guests)
  • Heli bump upgrade: +$900–$1,200 per person (pending quote)
  • Extra lodge night: +$250 (estimated)

Before You Book

This trip is designed for experienced ski tourers who meet KBG’s Flying Squirrel fitness and skills level. Review our Fitness & Ski Skills Guide before submitting your request. Guests need to be able to ski steep trees to enjoy this program.

Capacity is limited to 6 guests per trip. All bookings are requests only - a KBG team member will follow up to confirm availability, skills fit, and next steps.

Please ensure you have read and understood the waiver.

Your guide will go over the waivers on the morning of your tour or course, and you will sign in front of them so they can witness. If you are under the age of 19 you will need to have your parent or legal guardian sign for you.
